Brainstorm creative packaging ideas for rack cards (check)
And I’ve only been here three hours! I just know that 10 weeks is going to fly by and I am going to miss this place, and these people like crazy!
Let me back up a bit, I need to introduce myself. I’m Jessica Parker, senior multimedia journalism major and public relations minor, 31-year-old mom, wife, professional, college student AND intern (a.k.a. apprentice, according to Kendell). If there is one thing I can tell you for certain, up until the day I landed this internship at Whittaker Marketing, I was completely dreading it. Who wants to make coffee and do all of those other mundane duties? Especially when you do all of that at home daily anyway. I mean, for seven years I went toe to toe with the worst of the worst in Florida’s prison system while working behind the razor wire as an officer before deciding to return to college. I was dreading being the “do girl.”
Fortunately, that is not at all the role I play here at Whittaker Marketing. In fact, I’m pretty sure that I have the best role at Whittaker Marketing. After all, I am learning how to do it all from three of the most brilliant marketing, advertising, public relations and graphic design professionals (they wear MANY hats) that I have ever met. No, I am not just blowing smoke about my boss and her peeps either. If you don’t believe me, check us out for yourself.
I’m not one to brag or anything, but I am fairly certain that I just might have hit the jackpot where internships are concerned.
Keep an eye on our blog and I’ll update you as this internship progresses.
